For 10 teams in the Sun Belt Conference, they will begin the 2015 college football season looking to chase down, catch, and ultimately surpass the Georgia Southern Eagles. The Panthers enter this season as the defending Sun Belt Conference Champions as 2014 was their first year as a Football Bowl Subdivision program. Last year Georgia Southern possessed the top rushing attack in the nation and they’ll once again be a force to be reckoned with as junior quarterback Kevin Ellison and junior running back Matt Breida are two sure-handed ball carriers for head football coach Willie Fritz. But led by junior running back Marcus Cox, the Appalachian State Mountaineers will once again be tough in the Sun Belt while the Arkansas State Red Wolves will be looking for their fourth conference title in the last five years.

This season Georgia Southern will avoid playing Arkansas State while Appalachian State faces both the Eagles and Red Wolves in a 15-day span as those two games will go a very long way in deciding the Sun Belt Champion for 2015.
